Position Overview:
Shorewood Behavioral Health Hospital is poised to deliver exceptional mental health services through its state-of-the-art facility.


This new establishment will focus on offering comprehensive acute and outpatient psychiatric care tailored for adolescents, adults, and seniors facing mental health challenges and substance use disorders.

The hospital will feature a range of therapeutic programs, including Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), and Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT), while also developing specialized initiatives to address community needs.


Key Responsibilities:
As a Psychiatric Physician, you will be accountable for diagnosing and treating mental health disorders through various methods, including personal counseling (psychotherapy), psychoanalysis, hospitalization, and medication management.

Your primary duties will include:
  • Delivering clinical services to patients within the facility.
  • Adhering to medical protocols established by federal and state regulations, as well as corporate and facility policies.
  • Reviewing patient medical information to ensure stability and providing medical recommendations.
  • Evaluating patients for mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders.
  • Administering treatment or directing patient care using diverse psychotherapeutic techniques and medications.
  • Completing and reviewing medical documentation for individual care plans in a timely manner.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
  • A Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO).
  • Preferred experience of one or more years post-graduate practice.
  • Licensure in the state where the facility operates.

Licenses/Certifications:
Applicants should hold:
  • Board certification in psychiatry.
  • Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances in accordance with state regulations.
