Lead Painter

PruittHealth is seeking a skilled Lead Painter to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality finishes on our buildings and equipment.

• Apply paint to buildings and other structures using a variety of techniques and tools.
• Cover surfaces with drop cloths or masking tape and paper to protect them during painting.
• Fills cracks, holes, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other fillers.
• Remove fixtures such as doorknobs and switch covers prior to painting.
• Remove old finishes by stripping, sanding, and wire brushing.
• Smooth surfaces using sandpaper, scrapers, brushes, and steel wool.
• Erect scaffolding or set up ladders to work above ground level.
• Assist with center/agency surveys and reports as needed.
• Attend and participate in continuing educational programs to stay up-to-date with industry changes and maintain current licenses/certifications.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-4 years of experience in painting and decorating.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights.
