Position Overview:

Chevron is currently seeking applications for the role of FEI Inspector. This position is responsible for delivering inspection services across various refinery process units and off-site facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure safe and dependable operational conditions of fixed equipment through regular inspections and provide guidance on quality repairs that comply with corporate and regulatory standards.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute necessary internal and external compliance inspections for tanks, vessels, columns, and piping at mandated intervals.
  • Implement and uphold equipment reliability strategies and a risk-based inspection (RBI) approach for the designated area.
  • Participate in planning for turnaround and on-stream inspection scopes.
  • During turnarounds, oversee inspection requirements including internal inspections, necessary repairs, and non-destructive examination (NDE) scheduling and validation.
  • Maintain inspection data, records, recommendations, and repairs using computer-based reliability data management systems.

Essential Qualifications:

Basic understanding of refinery process unit operations is required. Experience in supporting Fixed Equipment Asset Strategy initiatives is essential, including:

  • Creating and implementing asset strategy tasks, establishing acceptance criteria, and documenting in the System of Record (SoR).
  • Executing asset strategy tasks, evaluating outcomes against acceptance criteria, and documenting in SoR.
  • Identifying and managing deficiencies while developing recommendations for resolution.
  • Shutdown planning and execution, along with routine compliance checks—both internal and external.

Relocation Options:
Relocation is not available for this position. Only local candidates will be considered.
