Job Summary

The Mortgage Loan Processor plays a critical role in our team, responsible for processing loan files by verifying applicant information, documenting loan terms, and providing necessary information for loan closing. This involves reviewing loan applications, verifying income, assets, liabilities, and collateral value, and gathering additional documentation as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review loan files for necessary documentation and disclosures
  • Verify applicant information and document loan terms
  • Follow up on missing documentation and gather additional information as needed
  • Prepare loan files for submission to underwriting and grant program underwriters
  • Communicate with originators and applicants on loan progress
  • Complete denial/cancellation procedures for denied or cancelled loans
Regulatory Compliance

The Mortgage Loan Processor must comply with various regulatory requirements, including registration with the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), and Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).

Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience in mortgage lending
  • Three years' experience in residential mortgage loan processing and/or closing
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and maintain attention to detail
