Job Summary:

We are in search of qualified candidates for a significant manufacturing plant maintenance initiative and a plant safety enhancement project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the design of equipment and plant layout, focusing on energy efficiency, and lead the development and execution of capital programs and critical projects.
  • Ensure the ongoing maintenance and improvement of plant facilities, including electrical and mechanical services, while adhering to state and federal regulations as well as company policies.
  • Guarantee compliance with environmental regulations and proactively address any environmental concerns.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams of employees and contractors to effectively manage and execute key projects.
  • Support and promote safety, health, quality, and environmental goals, fostering a workplace culture that prioritizes safety.
  • Manage project budgets and oversee the development, implementation, and coordination of the capital budget aimed at enhancing and maintaining equipment and facilities.
  • Lead and manage assigned capital projects, including new equipment installations, plant layout and design, manufacturing automation, and maintenance-related initiatives.
  • Define project scope and assess bids for project completion.
  • Supervise external contractors to ensure adherence to all company standards, including sanitation, safety, quality, productivity, and budget compliance.
  • Utilize a solid understanding of engineering environmental activities, including air quality, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and solid waste management.
  • Accountable for the cost, schedule, and performance metrics of assigned projects.
  • Understand and comply with all property accounting policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field from an accredited institution is preferred.
  • 7 to 10+ years of experience in managing capital projects within a manufacturing environment.
  • 7+ years of experience in project budget management.
  • Proficient in creating project scopes and managing the bidding process.
  • Experienced in overseeing the capital budget process from inception to completion.
  • Skilled in managing maintenance-related projects within a plant setting.
  • Knowledgeable in environmental management practices, including air quality, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and solid waste.
  • Able to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong grasp of engineering economics.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as necessary.
