Job Summary

The successful candidate will conduct initial nutrition assessments and provide ongoing follow-up care to patients and staff. With strong decision-making skills and the ability to prioritize patient care effectively, this individual will be an asset to our team.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide initial nutrition assessment of patient condition
  • Provide ongoing reassessment and follow-up care
  • Provide nutrition education services for patients and staff
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess a degree from any program approved by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics that leads to registration as a Registered Dietitian/Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist (RD/RDN). Additionally, they should have basic knowledge of subspecialty areas and obtain approximately 15 hours of continuing education credits per calendar year.

A minimum of six months of clinical experience in an acute care facility is preferred. Registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and an Oklahoma State Dietitian license must be achieved within the first six months of employment. A food handler's permit from the Cleveland County Health department must also be obtained prior to hire.

The ideal candidate will possess decision-making skills, the ability to recognize unsafe work conditions, and the knowledge to safely use chemicals and equipment. They will also have a strong knowledge base for assessing patient nutritional needs.
