We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Pre-Procedure and Phase II team at Mercy Hospital St. Louis. As a key member of our surgical care team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse will utilize the nursing process to provide patient care, maintain professional accountability, and evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers. This role requires strong communication and coordination skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Maintain professional accountability for provision of patient care, ensuring that all care is delivered in a safe and effective manner.
  • Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers, making recommendations for improvement as needed.
  • Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information, adhering to all relevant laws and regulations.
Qualifications
  • Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate, Diploma, or BSN).
  • Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed.
  • 2 years of RN experience, with a preference for experience in medical surgical or pediatric settings.
  • Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
  • ACLS/PALS certification preferred or obtained within the first 6 months of employment.
