Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Merchandise Coordinator to join our team at HomeGoods. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards, ensuring Associates are processing efficiently and effectively, and maintaining a clean and organized store.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create a positive internal and external customer experience by engaging and interacting with all customers.
  • Promote a culture of honesty and integrity, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to all labor laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Orchestrate truck delivery, prioritizing the processing of merchandise onto the sales floor and ensuring merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
  • Train and mentor Associates on established merchandising and processing principles, ensuring they complete tasks and activities according to store plan.
  • Monitor productivity of team and coach as necessary, maintaining all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the backroom area.
  • Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities, providing progress updates and recognizing and accepting feedback.
  • Partner with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness and support store shrink reduction goals and programs.
  • Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment, adhering to all company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Capable of multi-tasking and responding appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
  • Team player, working effectively with peers and supervisors.
  • Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Able to train others and possess 1 year retail and 6 months of leadership experience.
