Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts.

About the Role

This part-time position involves assisting in creating and managing nursing care plans, participating in the evaluation of current and future medical needs of patients, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Create and implement individualized nursing care plans that address the unique needs of patients
  • Evaluate patients' progress, identify areas for improvement, and make adjustments to care plans as needed
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A graduate degree from an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred)
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Massachusetts
  • BLS (AHA/ARC) certification, with ACLS, PALS, and CPI required within 6 months of hire (TNCC certification is preferred)
  • At least 1 year of experience in a hospital setting (experience in emergency medicine is a plus)
Work Environment

Mercy Medical Center is a 182-bed acute care hospital located in Springfield, Massachusetts. Our Emergency Department sees an average of 220 patients daily, with a strong focus on delivering compassionate and high-quality care to our community.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, based on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
