About Us

CUMULUS MEDIA is a leading radio and digital media company, featuring a diverse range of radio stations and digital solutions. Our cluster of five stations engages thousands of listeners daily, and we are situated in a rapidly growing region along the Gulf Coast.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate the control board in a radio station environment, broadcasting various live or pre-recorded local and syndicated programs.
  • Ensure timely airing of commercials and maintain accurate commercial and transmitter logs.
  • Select appropriate bumper music and back-time pre-recorded shows for seamless transitions to live content.
  • Update and monitor weather, traffic, and news reports within automation systems.
  • Stay alert for EAS Alerts, Amber Alerts, and breaking news updates.
  • Oversee the technical quality and accuracy of all on-air programming from the master control room.
  • Assist in adjusting signal and programming content to comply with federal broadcast standards.
Qualifications:
  • Some college experience in radio or small market radio is preferred.
  • Prior experience in board operation is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in audio production is required.
  • Familiarity with FCC regulations and EAS guidelines is essential.
  • Competence in using computer systems such as Microsoft Office Suite, OpX, AudioVault, Wide Orbit, ENCO, Soundgorge, Nuendo, and Adobe Audition.
  • Basic knowledge of electronic wiring and sound system setup is beneficial.
  • Experience with audio mixers and remote monitoring systems for radio broadcasts is a plus.
  • Flexibility in scheduling is necessary, with most hours occurring during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
