Job Overview

Position Summary

The role involves delivering instruction to middle and high school students, contributing to the assessment initiatives, overseeing relevant administrative processes, and supervising student activities as necessary. As a member of the educational staff, the instructor's key responsibilities include ensuring student safety, providing guidance, and serving as a positive role model.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver instruction in fundamental subjects for middle and senior high school students.
  • Develop and maintain individualized educational plans for each student.
  • Research, select, and manage suitable educational resources and materials.
  • Comply with all contractual and state educational standards and Quality Assurance protocols.
  • Maintain comprehensive lesson plans for assigned subjects.
  • Collaborate with the Education Coordinator or Principal on all educational activities.
  • Conduct pre and post academic assessments and manage documentation of academic credits for each student.
  • Ensure accurate and complete maintenance of administrative records.
  • Conduct home visits as required by program standards.
  • Act as an advisor and positive role model for assigned students.
  • Operate institute vehicles as necessary, adhering to the Van Policy.
  • Provide first aid and CPR during emergencies in line with Red Cross standards.
  • Engage in day trips and special events that include recreational activities, facility maintenance, and equipment management.
  • Utilize the Behavior Modification System effectively by redirecting and coaching students displaying inappropriate behavior.
  • Intervene in student conflicts and incidents as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required (a college degree is preferred).
  • One to two years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • State Teacher Certification is preferred; however, School district's Substitute Teacher Certification or Approval is mandatory.
