Job Title: Local CDL A Driver

We are seeking a skilled Local CDL A Driver to join our team at Performance Food Group. As a Local CDL A Driver, you will be responsible for delivering and unloading food and food-related products to customers in a safe and timely manner.

Responsibilities:
  • Drive a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes to deliver and/or unload food and food-related products to customers.
  • Perform all required safety checks, including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer, to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
  • Communicate and interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers professionally to ensure questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Perform damage control checks on items, scan, and contact supervisor about removing orders according to company policy.
  • Unload products from the trailer, transport items into designated customer storage areas, and verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
  • 6+ months commercial driving experience
  • Valid CDL-A
  • Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
  • Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
  • Pass road test
  • Attains or has valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card
