The full-time role necessitates cross-training in Perioperative Services, with scheduling based on departmental needs. The position is under the supervision of the Director of Surgical Services.

Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Ohio
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing; BSN is preferred
  • Current BLS certification is mandatory
  • Current ACLS certification is required
  • Preferred: Minimum of 1 year of experience as an OR Circulator
  • Completion of PERIOP 101 is preferred but not essential
  • CNOR Certification is advantageous but not compulsory
  • Experience as a Circulator is preferred but not required
  • Experience in Medical Surgical within an acute care setting is preferred
  • On-call duty with a 45-minute response time is required

Skills and Abilities

  • Employ the nursing process to deliver care to patients across various settings in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
  • The nurse is responsible for their professional growth and practice within the legally defined scope of care.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical abilities are essential.
  • Detail-oriented, time-sensitive, adaptable, reliable, and capable of multitasking as a patient advocate.
  • Physically capable of fulfilling the responsibilities of the position.
  • Willingness to cross-train in additional perioperative service departments.
  • Ability to complete necessary coursework as required.
  • Capability to complete or test out of a basic Electrocardiogram Course.
  • Other duties as assigned.
