Job Summary:

The Registered Dietitian will assess patients for nutritional status and risk factors, perform nutrition consults for identified concerns, provide nutrition counseling, monitor and make recommendations for specialized nutrition support, participate on the patient care team, provide nutrition education and training, and participate in professional/research activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Screen patients for nutritional risk factors, document screens and follow-up in medical records.
  • Perform nutrition assessments and consults.
  • Provide individualized nutrition counseling addressing educational ability, cultural factors, and economic/social concerns.
  • Make recommendations for specialized nutrition support.
  • Prepare and present nutrition in-services for healthcare professionals.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for patients' physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Dietetics required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Registered Dietitian credential and Ohio licensure required; must be eligible to register for the Registered Dietitian Exam upon hire and obtain credential and licensure within 4 months of hire.
  • 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • None of supervisory experience.

Work Schedule:

Full-time, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
