Position Summary:
In this role, you will work independently to leverage advanced predictive maintenance techniques at various client facilities. Your responsibilities will include a blend of hands-on technical work and comprehensive data analysis utilizing various predictive technologies. You will provide expert support for existing predictive maintenance processes, focusing on Ultrasound, Infrared Thermography, and Vibration analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct expert-level data collection, analysis, and reporting for predictive maintenance initiatives utilizing technologies such as thermal imaging, ultrasound evaluations, vibration assessments, and oil analysis.
  • Formulate and execute implementation plans for predictive maintenance strategies at client locations.
  • Oversee and manage the application of preventive and predictive maintenance protocols.
  • Assess the effectiveness of predictive maintenance practices and make necessary adjustments to enhance service value.
  • Collaborate on maintenance strategies, perform root cause analyses, and propose process enhancements.
  • Partner with Site Managers and Planners to establish a robust reliability maintenance framework.
  • Develop professional reports and comprehensive training documentation.
  • Deliver high-level on-site training for ATS technicians in all aspects of Predictive Maintenance, including Ultrasound – Airborne and Structural, Infrared Thermographic Imaging for both electrical and mechanical systems, and Vibration data collection.
  • Address common inquiries or concerns from clients and effectively communicate findings to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30% of the time.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
Essential KSAs:
  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical institution; or completion of a four-year apprenticeship in electrical/electronic technology, mechanical technology, or manufacturing technology; or a combination of partial education and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Electrical/electronic expertise: 5 years of experience in troubleshooting and maintaining factory equipment, with a focus on electrical/electronic systems. Proficiency in basic mechanical/hydraulic concepts related to machine tools and a strong understanding of machine diagnostics is required.
  • Mechanical expertise: 5 years of experience in vibration analysis, laser operations, machine alignments, and general machine maintenance. Must be adept at troubleshooting complex mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and possess a solid understanding of basic electrical circuits.
  • ISO CAT II certification in Vibration and Level I certifications in Thermography/Infrared and Ultrasound.

Desirable KSAs:
  • ISO CAT I certification in Lubrication/Oil Analysis.
  • ISO CAT III certification in Vibration.

Working Conditions:
The role requires regular standing, walking, and the use of hands for handling or feeling objects. You may need to reach with hands and arms, climb, or balance at heights requiring ladders or lifts. The position also involves stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling in confined spaces, as well as talking and hearing. Occasionally, you will be required to sit and lift/move items over 50 pounds. Close vision and color vision are essential, and you may be exposed to outdoor weather conditions and electrical hazards. Work is primarily conducted in a factory setting, which can be quite loud. There may be exposure to hazardous materials and slippery surfaces.
