Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatric APRN to join our team at Osawatomie State Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide psychiatric and medical services to patients with acute and chronic mental health issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Admit, evaluate, and treat patients with psychiatric disorders
  • Enter required assessment and treatment documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
  • Order medications as needed and assess patients for physical interventions
  • Collaborate with patients' attending physicians and other medical staff
  • Provide care and treatment to patients with mental health disorders, regardless of ability to pay
Requirements
  • Eligible to be licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the State of Kansas
  • Two years' work experience as an APRN in a clinical setting
  • PMHMP Certification and FNP Certification
Work Environment

Osawatomie State Hospital is a 60-bed facility, certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. The position is located at Osawatomie State Hospital, and days/hours may vary. A negative drug screen is required as a condition of employment.
