Duties and Responsibilities:

Management may assign or re-assign duties and responsibilities to this role at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons.

Key responsibilities include:

  • MIG welding to create quality welds according to welding process or drawings
  • Preparing product to be welded by grinding, drilling, milling, tapping, and cutting steel/aluminum parts
  • Changing wire and welding as needed, as well as changing gas tanks when necessary
  • Inspecting parts for any defects and cleaning up work area daily
  • Filling out production orders and identifying and moving finished parts to the proper location
  • Operating a forklift, if required and trained, and performing first piece inspections as well as all subsequent inspections as required
  • Monitoring equipment and requesting maintenance when necessary, as well as performing simple maintenance and repair as required
  • Will be required to cross-train as a backup in other departments

Additional duties as assigned.


Education and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent required. 1-3 years of experience in MIG welding process, 1-3 years of experience in TIG welding process, and previous experience using power tools.

Able to follow directions, good interpersonal skills, and able to read and understand verbal and written instructions.

None
Physical Requirements:
Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, frequent lifting is 30 pounds or less. Occasional push and pull up to 50 pounds force, frequent standing for periods of time, and limited exposure to environmental conditions
