Role Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments, evaluations, and interventions for residents in accordance with your professional scope.
  • Perform initial and continuous evaluations for new residents, referrals, and necessary re-evaluations. Develop a care plan that includes relevant medical and treatment diagnoses, short and long-term objectives, prognosis, evaluation outcomes, resident aspirations, and discharge planning.
  • Ensure precise and timely billing in Optima HCS for all residents under your care.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of resident progress through daily treatment notes, weekly reports, recertification documentation, and discharge summaries in Optima HCS.
  • Deliver ongoing therapy utilizing the latest techniques while adhering to physician directives, AOTA standards, and state practice regulations.
  • Oversee Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants as needed.
  • Maintain current CPR certification prior to expiration.
Qualifications
  • A graduate degree from an AOTA accredited Occupational Therapy Program or equivalent credentials for internationally trained therapists is required for the Occupational Therapist position.
