Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Coordinator to join our team at Heart Hospital of Austin. As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care in our emergency department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the emergency department.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
  • Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
  • Support the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
Requirements
  • Minimum of two years of ED RN experience in an acute care setting.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
  • NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
  • Registered Nurse.
  • Registered Nurse Diploma.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
