Responsibilities include:
- Evaluation of patients with mental, emotional or behavioral disorders
- Development of treatment recommendations for physicians to administer psychotherapeutic treatments and medications
- Consultation with facility staff on patient-centered behavioral interventions
- Timely and appropriate communication with agencies, referring physicians, patients and families
