Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain customer satisfaction through timely delivery and accurate documentation.\
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues.\
  • Develop and implement efficient logistics solutions to enhance our supply chain.\
  • Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement process changes as needed.\
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve workflow and productivity.\
  • Support our commitment to safety and quality, adhering to strict guidelines and protocols.\
  • Assist with training and mentoring junior team members to foster knowledge sharing and skill development.\
  • Manage inventory levels, track shipments, and coordinate with suppliers to meet customer demands.\
  • Communicate effectively with vendors, carriers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and negotiate rates.\
  • Prepare and present reports to management, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.\
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.\
  • Participate in special projects and contribute to business growth initiatives.\
  • Contribute to the development of strategic plans and objectives.\
  • Monitor and control costs associated with shipping and receiving functions.\
  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities for cost savings without compromising service quality.\
  • Build strong relationships with internal departments and external partners.\
  • Create and maintain documentation, such as standard operating procedures, training guides, and technical specifications.\
  • Audit and analyze existing systems and processes to ensure efficiency and compliance.\
  • Recommend process improvements, eliminating unnecessary steps and reducing cycle time.\
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and subject matter experts.\
  • Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and meetings to educate team members and stakeholders on new procedures and technologies.\
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on logistics and shipping processes, providing guidance and support to colleagues.\
  • Understand and comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.\
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment and minimizing risks.\

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred.\
  • At least 1 year of experience in a shipping/receiving or logistics function.\
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.\
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods.\
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with logistics software.\
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting throughout the shift.\
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to changing priorities and processes.\
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.\
  • Capacity to work independently and collaboratively as part of a close-knit team.\
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.\
  • Reliable transportation to travel between sites if necessary.\
  • Proven track record of reliability, punctuality, and strong work ethic.\
