At Odawa Casino Resort, we are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Copper Cafe Hostess to join our team. As a Copper Cafe Hostess, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing food, serving meals, and managing cash transactions.

• Customer Service: Maintain a positive and professional approach to guests and team members, greet all guests and team members in a friendly and open manner, and make eye contact to create a welcoming environment.
• Food Preparation and Service: Take orders from guests, complete orders from the steam table, and serve guests at the table or counter. Prepare and serve soft drinks and ice cream dishes using memorized formulas and methods or following directions.
• Cash Handling: Operate a cash register, ring in proper amounts, and give guests correct change. Account for all cash, charges, and complimentary sales according to established policies and procedures.
• Team Collaboration: Work with central reservations to accommodate guest requests, work with VIP hosts to accommodate players and special requests, and assist servers as needed.
• Environmental Maintenance: Maintain a neat, clean, organized, safe, and comfortable work environment for team members and guests, and keep work areas, countertops, and tables clean, sanitized, and free of debris.

• Basic Computer Skills: Must have basic computer skills and knowledge of POS systems.
• Math Skills: Must have basic math skills, with the ability to count money and change correctly.
• Communication Skills: Must read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Training and Certification: Must complete TIPS training and certification within thirty (30) days of employment or provide proof of current certifications and must keep current.
• Physical Requirements: Must be able to meet physical requirements such as lifting and carrying up to fifty (50) pounds, ability to stand and walk for long periods of time with infrequent and brief rest periods, and be able to bend, kneel, and reach.
• Availability: Must be flexible with shift and days off with the ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and special events, etc., as needed.
