As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for managing projects involving the design, development, and commercialization of engineered plastics products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and organize internal and external teams for new product development.
- Interact with the Director of Sales / Marketing, Director of Quality, Director of Engineering, and external clients.
- Lead the sales / market development effort and bring new products from concept through commercialization.
- Participate in assigned project teams and acquire product information through market research and regional input.
- Identify market trends, issues, and competitive environment and form strategic plans for product brand or sub-segment.
- Develop and implement new product strategies in the form of supporting existing brands and/or sub-segment and creating new products.
- Evaluate the needs of product marketing and sales personnel on a global basis and initiate strategies that meet regional and worldwide requirements.
- Collaborate with multiple internal and external groups such as design, packaging and labeling, regulatory claims, advertising, sales force education.
- Experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment is a plus.
Requirements:
- BS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or Polymer Science.
- Advanced degrees (MS / PHD) in Chemistry or Polymers would be helpful, but not required.
- 3 plus years of experience in plastics, plastics compounding, polymer additives.
- Certification in PMP and MCPM would be helpful.
