Key Responsibilities:
  • Personal Care: Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, as well as provide safe use of equipment and assistive devices.
  • Companion/Sitter/Household Management: Provide companionship and respite services for family members, perform homemaking activities such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation, and assist with household management tasks.
  • Medication Reminders: Assist clients with medication reminders and administration, as needed.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent, and successful completion of a state-approved Personal Care Aide course.
  • Experience: At least six months of experience as a Personal Care Aide in homes or facilities.
  • Certifications: Listed in good standing on the New York State Nurse Aide Registry, and meets passing criteria on the DEARS Ethics test.
  • Communication: Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job.
  • Transportation: Possess a valid driver's license and have access to adequate transportation for the job.
