Pieper Veterinary seeks a dedicated and skilled Veterinary Technician to join our overnight emergency team in the ICU. This full-time position offers opportunities for professional growth, continuing education, and a supportive culture to enhance your veterinary skills.
In this role, you will provide crucial emergency care to pets while working in a collaborative team environment. The ideal candidate is someone who feels that veterinary medicine is a team sport and values collaboration from all staff members.
We offer a dynamic work environment, opportunities for growth, and a competitive salary of $65,000 per year. This range includes shift differential for the overnight shift.
Responsibilities
- Provide critical care to pets in need
- Work collaboratively with the neurology team
- Assist with scheduling patients, receiving, treating, ordering medical supplies, and requesting laboratory tests
- Maintain knowledge of sterilization techniques and use, care, and storage of veterinary instruments, materials, and equipment
Requirements
- Associates in Veterinary Technology (or equivalent)
- Knowledge of anesthesia and monitoring
- Phlebotomy experience
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
