**Responsibilities**

  • **Maintain a Clean and Safe Work Environment**: Ensure the workshop is clean and well-organized to promote efficiency and workplace safety.
  • **Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Best Practices**: Develop and maintain a working knowledge of current industry standards and best practices in automotive repair.
  • **Inspect Vehicles**: Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to ensure compliance with state regulations for emissions and safety.
  • **Perform Repairs and Maintenance**: Conduct necessary repairs and perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and other services.
  • **Communicate with Customers**: Effectively communicate with customers to inform them of any additional services required and provide estimates for repairs.
  • **Work with Diagnostic Equipment**: Operate electronic diagnostic equipment to test vehicles and components.

**Requirements**

  • **Experience**: At least 1 year of experience as a Virginia State Inspector.
  • **Knowledge**: In-depth knowledge of all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance.
  • **Skills**: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work effectively in a team, and computer literacy.
  • **Certifications**: Valid State Inspector's license and a valid driver's license.
