Job Overview

We are seeking a talented Full Stack Java Lead Developer to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced Java developers who want to take on leadership responsibilities and shape the future of our software development lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in developing Java web applications, especially large-scale API design and development, as well as technical leadership experience on prior development projects.

You will lead a team of developers to achieve architecture and design objectives, promote clear and maintainable code, and identify and solve for code/design optimization.

This role has a market-competitive salary range of $120,000 - $140,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leverage your expertise in Java/J2EE development to lead cloud application development using various technologies.
  • Cultivate strong technical, analytical, and interpersonal skills to guide junior developers and achieve project deliverables.
  • Contribute to detailed design and architectural discussions to support J2EE application implementation.
  • Promote designs that develop clear and maintainable code.
  • Develop scalable implementation strategies and optimize code for performance.
  • Learn and integrate with a variety of systems, APIs, and platforms.
  • Interact with a multi-disciplined team to clarify, analyze, and assess requirements.
  • Be actively involved in the design, development, and testing activities for web applications.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Hands-on 3-5+ years of experience developing Java web applications, especially large-scale API design & development.
  • Proven 5+ years of technical leadership on prior development projects.
  • Guide a team of at least 10-member development team without direct managerial responsibilities.
  • Hands-on experience with Spring Tool Suite, including Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Batch.
  • Hands-on experience building UI applications using React.
  • Experience with automated build tools like Maven or Gradle.
  • Understanding Relational Databases, such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Postgres, or similar.
  • Fluency in Java/J2EE, JSP, Web Services.
  • Must have experience with JAVA 8 or higher.
  • Experience using software project tracking tools like Jira.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and ability to work well in a team.
