As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for coordinating clinical, educational, and administrative activities of the Blood Donor Center, Blood Donor Mobile Units, Apheresis Collections, and the Component Processing Lab.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate and manage the daily operations of the Blood Donor Center, Blood Donor Mobile Units, Apheresis Collections, and the Component Processing Lab.
- Supervise and evaluate the performance of clinical staff, including RNs, lead apheresis techs, apheresis techs, and component processing techs.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and maintain a safe environment for donors and staff.
- Collaborate with the Medical Director and Administrative Director to identify current and future departmental needs and develop plans to address them.
- Provide performance-based feedback to staff members and initiate disciplinary action as needed.
- Participate in budget preparation and monitoring, as well as, ordering and evaluation of equipment and supplies.
- Bachelor's of Science in Nursing required.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory experience in blood donor collection.
- Additional non-supervisory experience in blood donor collection, experience in Apheresis or Dialysis, and/or critical care experience highly desirable.
