The role you are applying for is critical to our mission. As a Staff Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing software for control of photonic quantum computers in Rust. You will design and architecture system software, participate in design and code reviews, collaborate across software, hardware, and research teams, test and maintain control software, and champion good software development practices at PsiQuantum.

Job Summary

This role involves responsibilities such as:
  1. Developing and implementing software for control of photonic quantum computers in Rust.
  2. Designing and architecting system software.
  3. Participating in design and code reviews.
  4. Collaborating across software, hardware, and research teams at PsiQuantum.
  5. Testing and maintaining control software.
  6. Championing good software development practices at PsiQuantum.

Experience/Qualifications

Required skills and experience include 15+ years of experience with Rust or C++ in a system software context, architecture and implementation of system software for HPC, robotics, AI, quantum computing, semiconductor fabrication, or control systems, proven track record of developing and shipping reliable, performant software in a high-scale or mission-critical context, and a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline preferred, or equivalent experience.
