Job Summary:

As a Certified Nursing Assistant at Bellin Health, you will play a vital role in providing patient care under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. Your responsibilities will include coordinating and processing department patient information, performing secretarial tasks, and maintaining organized workflow. You will also function as a department receptionist, responding to customer inquiries and referring them to appropriate personnel when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide patient care under the direct supervision of a registered nurse
  • Coordinate and process department patient information
  • Perform secretarial tasks and maintain organized workflow
  • Function as a department receptionist and respond to customer inquiries
  • Schedule patient appointments and reappointments for outpatient therapy and primary care clinic
  • Process internal and external provider requests for patient information
  • Complete insurance verification as required by payors
  • Enter payments as received by patients
  • Manage hospital telephone calls and communicate with appropriate staff and/or providers

Requirements:
  • High school diploma and healthcare business courses preferred or demonstrates necessary skills to fulfill job duties/responsibilities
  • Previous customer service and medical office/healthcare experience preferred
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment with computer/keyboarding skills required
  • Listed on State of Wisconsin Nursing Assistant Registry required
  • Listed on Wisconsin Nursing Assistant Registry or current Wisconsin Emergency Medical Tech (EMT) license/certification required
