Instructional Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled Instructional Designer to join our team at St. Charles Community College. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and supporting high-quality technology-enhanced instruction and learning experiences, including virtual and augmented reality and artificial intelligence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop learning experiences, systems, and processes that incorporate emerging technologies such as AI, AR, and VR.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to analyze, design, and develop content, activities, and assessments for multiple modalities.
• Provide consultations and serve as a resource to faculty and staff on instructional design, learning experience, and technology concerns.
• Ensure course quality by performing quality assurance reviews and recommending revisions.
• Develop and implement measurement and evaluation strategies to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of learning solutions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, or a related field.
• Three or more years of related experience, with a preference for online or hybrid teaching experience.
• Proficiency with generative AI tools and applications, AR/VR/MR tools and applications, and experience with Canvas, Respondus, Adobe Creative Suite, Camtasia, Snagit, and Canva.
