About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team in the Americas Engineering Design Organization. This role will be based in Houston, TX or Baton Rouge, LA and will involve working on complex projects related to oil and gas, energy, petrochemicals, and related sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of mechanical engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for green and brownfields facilities.
  • Project leadership of mechanical and piping design resources to deliver studies and detail design projects.
  • Review and approval of final mechanical equipment selection and drawing submittals.
  • Supporting proposals and cost estimates for a wide range of small to large projects.
  • Mentoring and career development of graduate and junior mechanical engineers within the team.
  • Continuously networking with colleagues and peers in the industry.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 10+ years' experience in the energy sectors mentioned above or the oil & gas industry or an equivalent industry.
  • Professional Engineering License is required.
  • Excellent understanding of major design codes and standards relevant to this work, including ASME B 31.3, ASME VIII, and ASME B.
  • Experience with Caesar II pipe stress analysis, Energy Institute Guidelines for vibration analysis, and engineering support for detailed design packages.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to enable effective interaction with clients, colleagues, designers, engineers, and project managers.
  • Strong attention to detail, adaptable, agile, and responsive to quick changes in direction.
