Manufacturing Engineer

We have an immediate opening for a Manufacturing Engineer. We are looking for recent college graduates who are self-directed and ambitious, seeking an entry-level role. The Manufacturing Engineer will be based in our Hopkinton, MA location, supporting manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to produce precision motion devices and systems.
- Assist the Test Engineering and Quality departments with troubleshooting, correcting, and documenting solutions to complex problems.
- Create and revise manufacturing documentation, including work procedures and assembly records, in compliance with the ISO 9001 standard.
- Work alongside and communicate with assembly technicians, learning the products by assembling them.
- Design fixturing for assembly and metrology.
In a single facility, we manufacture a broad range of products, with a mix of high-volume serial production and low-volume, complex machines. The work presents an opportunity to gain experience with various technologies, including air bearings, piezoceramics, electronics, and control systems.
In addition to technical knowledge, this position requires a strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, a team-player mentality, a passion for perfection, and attention to detail.
Requirements- Acquired A.S. or B.S. in Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
- 2-4 years of relative experience is desired but not required.
- Love of building mechanical and electrical devices.
- Demonstrated CAD/3D modeling experience (SolidWorks preferred).
- Strong visual-spatial ability and ability to solve challenging technical problems.
- Experience with basic metrology tools such as calipers, test indicators, and micrometers is preferred.
- Machining or metal fabricating experience will strengthen your candidacy.
