We are seeking a skilled Audiologist to join our team at the Butler County Educational Service Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and providing hearing services to eligible children, including determination of range, nature, and degree of hearing loss.
Key Responsibilities- Identify children with suspected hearing loss and determine the range, nature, and degree of hearing loss using calibrated equipment.
- Provide evidence-based habilitation services to students with hearing loss, including assessment results, goals, objectives, accommodations, and modifications for both curricula and classroom environment.
- Select and fit hearing assistive technology and serve as a resource to school personnel and students regarding its effective use.
- Provide counseling and guidance to students, teachers, and parents regarding the impact of hearing loss on education, speech, and language, as well as social-emotional development and daily living skills.
- Participate in evaluation team meetings and provide assessment information to the referral source and evaluation team.
- Master's degree or Aud. in Audiology or related field.
- Ohio Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology License.
- Willingness/ability to work as a team member and demonstrate leadership and organizational abilities.
- Computer expertise and valid driver's license with access to personal vehicle.
- History of good job attendance and ability to effectively communicate with a variety of people.
The Audiologist will work in a culturally diverse environment and be exposed to outdoor weather conditions during gross motor play. The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance use in the workplace throughout their employment.
