Job Overview

Talent Healthcare Staffing Inc is seeking a skilled travel nurse specialist to provide comprehensive wound care services in Spokane, Washington.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing patient wounds, providing consultations, and ensuring continuity of care through follow-up evaluations.

Responsibilities include patient education, collaboration with healthcare providers, and home visits to support nursing staff in assessments and care plans.

Job Description & Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with other health care providers to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Responsible for wound care management and maintenance.
  • Maintain ongoing follow-up evaluation for patients requiring ostomy and/or skin care after discharge from the hospital.
  • Provide a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff while complying with policies and procedures.
  • Round weekly on all wounds in the hospital.
  • Participate in patient and staff education.
  • Assist with completing admissions on a daily basis.
  • Make home visits to provide clinical support and assist nursing staff in patient assessment, diagnosis, and development of a comprehensive nursing care plan.
  • Manage a client caseload as needed.
  • Provide consultation to staff identifying and planning interventions designed to solve complex problems involving client care.

  • Nutrition, alteration in nutrition, less than body requirements.
  • Hazards of immobility, impaired physical mobility.
  • Grieving process.
  • Self-care deficit.
  • Activity intolerance.
  • Nurse Practitioner Board Certification.
