About the Role
The Quality Inspector at Spectrum Control plays a pivotal role in ensuring that materials and equipment meet specified drawings and procedures. This position involves inspecting and testing materials to verify compliance with company standards, military specifications, and commercial requirements.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect incoming materials to match purchase order and material requirements plan specifications.
- Perform first piece inspection actions and completion of AS 9102 forms where applicable.
- Inspect devices under high-powered microscopes for verification of compliance or defect identification.
- Conduct functional electrical measurements using LCR meters and other test equipment.
- Program and operate the coordinate measuring machine (CMM) and perform basic maintenance and calibration.
- Ensure compliance using mechanical measuring devices including calipers, dial gauges, and optical comparators.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Experience Years: 1-3 years in Production or Quality-Related Field
- Microsoft Office and web proficiency
- Able to read and interpret blueprints and operating instructions
- Ability to do basic math using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Understanding of LAN and information systems
