Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate within a project team to ensure that the acceptance criteria for product features are fulfilled by developing automated tests using Pytest.
  • Create testing scenarios to evaluate and contrast data sources and targets within data pipelines.
  • Conduct comprehensive testing of data pipeline processes, including data ingestion, data architecture, data transformations, and overall data integrity.
  • Verify that data is provided in the anticipated format, structure, and undergoes the necessary transformations.
  • Partner with the Quality Engineering team to refine and optimize code. Share insights and expertise with fellow Quality Engineering members.
  • Consistently seek to enhance the Data Development Life Cycle (DDLC), coding standards, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), and engineering best practices.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proficient in ETL processes and data pipeline validation.
  • Strong command of SQL.
  • Familiarity with PostgreSQL, Parquet, and Delta Lake.
  • Capability to collaborate with team members across various disciplines.
  • Proactive in seeking clarification and solutions.
  • Ability to engage with remote team members effectively.
  • Openness to adapt to different technologies and team roles.
  • Excellent programming skills, particularly in Python.
  • Experience in an Agile Development environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Spark SQL and PySpark.
  • Experience with Databricks, AWS Glue, and Ascend.
  • Familiarity with Great Expectations (GX).
  • Understanding of tools such as Git, Jenkins, Docker, AWS S3, IntelliJ, PyCharm, and Jira.
