Overview:
We are in search of part-time dietitians to enhance our healthcare team. One of the roles will necessitate bilingual proficiency (Spanish/English). The ideal candidate should possess a strong commitment to assisting patients in achieving their nutritional and lifestyle objectives while enhancing their overall health metrics. A comprehensive understanding of the underlying issues from a holistic perspective is essential.
Key Responsibilities for Registered Dietitian Candidates:
- Evaluate individuals with complex health issues and develop a nutrition strategy centered on whole foods while accommodating individual circumstances.
- Adopt a holistic care approach, identifying root causes and creating actionable plans to improve clients' overall health.
- Demonstrate a solid grasp of lifestyle medicine, focusing on sleep, hydration, stress management, nutrition, and physical activity.
- Deliver personalized diabetes and nutrition education and counseling to patients.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to formulate customized care plans.
- Monitor and assess patients' progress in managing their health conditions.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations as needed.
- If certified as a CDCES or pump trainer, conduct training sessions for Medtronic, Omnipod, Beta Bionics, and Tandem systems.
- Analyze continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) results and provide recommendations to patients and care teams to enhance blood sugar control and HbA1c levels.
Required Qualifications:
- Education and licensure necessary to practice in Arizona, with preference for multistate licensing due to our diverse clientele.
- Experience in health coaching and patient education.
- Proficiency in patient assessment and diagnostic evaluation.
- Understanding of physiology related to diabetes management.
- Ability to guide patients on appropriate nutrition for diabetes.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare teams.
- Demonstrated patience, compassion, and flexibility to meet clients where they are.
