As a Pediatric PCU Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care to critically ill children and their families, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans to meet their unique needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, monitoring patients for reactions and side effects.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, including physicians, therapists, and social workers.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting health literacy and self-management skills.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment or multistate RN license through the Interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
- AHA BLS certification prior to the end of the orientation period.
- Two years of experience in pediatric nursing, preferably in a PCU setting.
