Dental Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Dental Assistant to join our team at the City of El Paso, TX. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist dentists and dental hygienists with patient examinations and procedures, and perform various clerical tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Assist dental professionals with patient examinations and procedures
- Register patients, prepare patient files, and gather necessary documents
- Prepare dental instruments and materials for each patient
- Assist with radiographic examinations and develop exposed films
- Clean and sterilize dental instruments and maintain the clinic area
- Update patient records and prepare receipts for services rendered
- Provide administrative support and assist with dental mobile deployment preparations
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Graduation from an accredited dental assistance program
- 6 months of work experience in a dental office or clinic, or 500 hours of dental clinical rotation experience
- Certification as a Dental Assistant through completion of a Dental Assistant course from an accredited college or technical school
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License or equivalent from another state
Please note that this is an unclassified contract position, and employment is predicated on continuation of state/federal funding.
