We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to join our team at Bradford Health Services. As a key member of our nursing department, you will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to our nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Director of Nursing in supervising and participating in timely and accurate patient record documentation, including nursing assessments, treatment planning, and patient progress.
- Assist in monitoring and evaluating medication usage, including review of medication records, adverse reactions, and medication errors reporting.
- Ensure comprehensive orientation and training of all nursing personnel, including presenting in-service programs as needed.
- Assist in personnel management of nursing staff, including recruiting, hiring, and scheduling.
- Collaborate with the Clinical Director to ensure a therapeutic environment for patients.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance, and work in a cooperative manner with colleagues, managers, and clients.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing, current license in the State of Alabama (R.N.), and one year of experience in a supervisory capacity or one year of experience in chemical dependency nursing.
- Ability to continuously sit for 6 to 8 hours per 8-hour shift.
- Ability to see 20/40 corrected in each eye and hear (hearing aid acceptable).
- Ability to administer CPR and draw blood.
- Ability to walk within the facility approximately ½ mile per 8-hour shift.
- Ability to work in a stressful environment and maintain emotional and physical stability.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude in the face of challenging situations.
