We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Apria Healthcare LLC. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to individuals in their homes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide instruction and guidance to patients and their caregivers on the proper use of respiratory equipment and care procedures.
- Conduct clinical assessments and tests, including pulse oximetry, ETCO2, spirometry, and vital signs, to ensure accurate patient care.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
- Operate and maintain various types of respiratory care equipment, including oxygen therapy, nebulization therapy, apnea monitoring, and ventilation.
- Perform routine patient follow-up contacts to monitor progress and address any concerns.
- Participate in ongoing education and training sessions to stay up-to-date on the latest respiratory care techniques and technologies.
- Graduate of an accredited program for respiratory therapy.
- Registration or certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Current RCP license in the state of practice (or states that the location covers) if that state requires an RCP license to allow the practice of respiratory therapy.
- Current CPR Certification.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- At least one year of related experience in respiratory therapy.
- Bilingual skills (reading, writing, verbal).
