The ideal candidate will possess a wealth of knowledge in the field of Diagnostic Medical Sonography and demonstrate a strong passion for nurturing the next generation of sonographers. This position entails delivering practical instruction and facilitating hands-on training for students, ensuring they develop the essential skills and expertise needed for successful careers in sonography.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct engaging lab sessions and provide hands-on training for students enrolled in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.

- Demonstrate the operation of ultrasound equipment and various techniques.

- Design and implement lab activities that are in alignment with the established curriculum and desired learning outcomes.

- Evaluate student performance and offer constructive feedback to foster their growth and improvement.

- Ensure a safe and organized laboratory environment, maintaining all equipment in proper working order.

- Collaborate with fellow faculty members to integrate laboratory experiences with theoretical classroom instruction.

- Stay updated on the latest advancements in sonography technology and methodologies.

- Assist in the creation and revision of lab manuals and instructional resources.

- Participate actively in faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and other program-related initiatives.

Qualifications:

- Certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in sonography.

- A minimum of three years of clinical experience in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.

- An Associate's degree in a relevant field; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.

- Exceptional communication and instructional capabilities.

- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

- A commitment to fostering student success and pursuing professional development.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Prior teaching experience in a sonography program.

- Familiarity with various sonography specialties, such as abdominal, OB/GYN, and vascular.

- Knowledge of accreditation standards and requirements pertinent to sonography programs.

Job Type: Part-time

Compensation: $50.00 per hour

Expected Hours: 16 – 24 hours per week
