Role Summary:
The Market Manager II position is integral to Bird's Operations Team.

This role involves collaborating with regional Operations leadership to oversee business operations in the Seattle region, including comprehensive P&L management, vendor relations, and strategic project execution.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, capable of understanding both high-level strategies and detailed operational tasks to ensure alignment between objectives, implementation, and results.

We seek a proactive individual with a strong work ethic, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively to gain stakeholder support.


Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the complete operation of the designated market, supported by the Operations leadership team.
- Monitor and enhance operational performance: track and analyze essential metrics related to operations, ridership, supply, and demand.
- Utilize data to refine processes, address challenges creatively, and evaluate outcomes.
- Serve as the primary representative for Bird in resolving operational issues with stakeholders, including city officials, vendors, and other partners.
- Drive local growth initiatives and campaigns to enhance market presence.
- Manage operational costs with a focus on profitability and maintaining positive margins.

- Develop a highly efficient and motivated operations team through daily oversight, coordination, and training of staff, including hourly workers in specific markets.

- Prioritize tasks and navigate obstacles effectively.
- Collaborate and communicate across the organization to ensure timely resolutions, maintain quality control, and gather process feedback.
- Exhibit resourcefulness and self-motivation, taking initiative and working independently on projects.
- Contribute to fostering a fun, inclusive, and safe workplace culture at Bird.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, including at least 1 year in a leadership role.

- A self-driven, enthusiastic individual with the capacity to learn new skills, manage a team, and evolve within the role.

- Strong communicator capable of engaging with senior leadership and inspiring team members.
- Proven ability to build networks and collaborate with external partners and city stakeholders.
- Experience in resolving complex issues, exercising sound judgment, and navigating uncertain environments.
- Skill in simplifying complex problems into actionable tasks.
- Data-oriented with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to process enhancement.
- Comfortable with learning and adapting to new concepts and tools.
