About This Role

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Dialysis Clinic Registered Nurse. As a member of our close-knit team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and providing dialysis treatment to individuals with end-stage renal disease or chronic kidney disease.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate patient care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for an assigned group of hemodialysis patients.
  • Perform ongoing analysis of patient data with each patient visit and document in the patient medical record.
  • Adjust or modify the treatment plan as indicated and notify supervisor as needed.
  • Provide initial and ongoing education to patients and families.
  • Administer medications as prescribed or in accordance with approved algorithm(s), and document appropriate medical justification and effectiveness.
  • Initiate or assist with emergency response measures.
  • Ensure correct laboratory collection, processing, and shipping procedures are performed.
  • Collaborate with the Interdisciplinary Team on the patient care plan.
  • Ensure patient awareness related to transplant and treatment modality options.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current appropriate state licensure.
  • Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
  • Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience as a Registered Nurse (preferred but not required).
  • Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience (preferred but not required).
  • Successfully pass the Ishihara Color Blind Test.
