RISE INC FAMILY is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Coordinator to join our team. As a Residential Coordinator, you will play a vital role in creating a better life for individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges.
Job Summary:The Residential Coordinator will be responsible for managing a residential group home, supervising Direct Support Staff, and providing administrative oversight to ensure the success of the program. This role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and multi-tasking skills, as well as a passion for working with individuals with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the daily schedule and activities of the residential group home
- Supervise and train Direct Support Staff to provide high-quality care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges
- Develop and implement Individual Support Plans (ISPs) in partnership with the individuals and their teams
- Oversee client financials and monthly budget for the program
- Act as a representative and advocate for the clients in the program, addressing medical and financial matters as needed
- Develop and maintain supportive relationships and professional boundaries with team members, Direct Support Staff, and clients
- Respond to and guide staff during emergency situations and natural disasters, following RISE guidelines
- At least one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, preferably in a residential setting
- One year of supervisory experience preferred
- A desire, interest, and experience in working with people with disabilities or special needs required
- Experience working in a group home setting and one year of supervision of group home required
- Strong multi-tasking, communication, and problem-solving skills required
- Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Detail-oriented and able to work with and abide by state and organizational rules and policies
