Position Overview
*This role offers a sign-on bonus of up to $20,000.*
Unit Overview: This is a 24-bed short-stay stabilization unit dedicated to providing exceptional care.
Role Summary: The Assistant Nurse Manager serves as a key support to the Unit Nurse Manager and nursing staff. This position entails 24/7 accountability with a primary focus on enhancing and maintaining positive patient outcomes, optimizing the patient experience, facilitating patient throughput, engaging staff, and managing operations, finances, and changes. Additionally, maintaining essential nursing skills relevant to the specialty is a requirement. In the absence of the Nurse Manager, the Assistant Nurse Manager will take full responsibility for the assigned unit. The role comprises 50% staffing duties and 50% administrative responsibilities.
Shift Details: This position is scheduled for evening/night shifts, consisting of four 10-hour shifts per week.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) is mandatory.
- Preferred: 1 year of formal nursing leadership experience.
- Required: 1-3 years of relevant RN experience in psychiatric care.
- Must possess a Maryland Registered Nurse License and American Heart Association BLS Certification.
- Membership in a Professional Organization is required.
