Job Title: Commercial Construction Superintendent

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to join our team at HITT Contracting. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for directing the workflow of our projects on site, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer the HITT safety program, ensuring that all accidents and incidents are promptly reported and investigated.
  • Maintain HITT quality standards for all aspects of the project.
  • Lead on-site safety, managing a safe jobsite for all involved.
  • Manage daily logs, punch lists, and closeout processes through owner/architect acceptance.
  • Collaborate with project managers to formulate project schedules, ensuring that the proper methods and sequence of installation are followed.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
  • Ensure complete and accurate daily documentation of work orders and tickets.
  • Identify problems early and act immediately to provide solutions.

Requirements:

  • A four-year degree from an accredited university with a concentration in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferred.
  • In lieu of a degree, additional work experience is acceptable.
  • 5+ years' experience in commercial construction, including experience with a commercial general contractor.
  • Tenant renovations, service work, work in occupied spaces, weekend work, fast-paced project experience are all a plus.
  • Mastery of building processes and best practices.
  • Ability to organize necessary resources, including people, tools, and time to meet tight deadlines and achieve desired results.
  • Project lead experience preferred.
  • Ability to master sector/project-specific software systems, including Microsoft Office suite, ProCore, Adobe, BlueBeam, and OSHA 30 Certification preferred.
  • Ability to walk and/or stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50lbs.
  • Must demonstrate a strong ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally, with a strong focus on audience-appropriate business writing and verbal skills.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and passion for construction and our industry.
  • Gather data, interpret it into meaningful information, and relay that information through clear, concise communication strategies.
  • Organize and manage tasks and priorities.

Compensation:

The base salary range for this position is $108,165.70. HITT Contracting offers a competitive total benefits and compensation package, including performance-based bonuses, premium health care coverage, employer-matched 401(k), wellness reimbursement program, paid holidays and time-off, and other voluntary benefits and leave types.
