Cleveland Clinic's Twinsburg Family Health & Surgery Center is a state-of-the-art facility that provides world-class care through advanced specialty care, primary care and surgical services. Our Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) offers advanced outpatient surgery that allows patients to return home soon after their procedure without the need for overnight stays.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Ambulatory Surgery Center. The ideal candidate will have experience working as an RN in an operating room, performing scrub and circulating duties. This role involves caring for patients in the pre-operative and post-operative areas, providing clinical nursing care and directing other caregivers in patient care.

The successful candidate will be a graduate of an approved school of nursing with current state licensure as a Registered Nurse. They will also have one year of clinical experience as an RN in a perioperative or critical care setting, or three years as a Surgical Technician. A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association is required, along with Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within six months of hire. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification may also be required depending on the population served.

About the Role
  • Provide clinical nursing care in the Ambulatory Surgery Center
  • Assess patient care needs, plan the delivery of care and process patients through the ASC
  • Direct other caregivers in providing patient care
  • Assume charge responsibilities, resolve problems and report variances
  • Develop educational materials and provide health education to patients and families
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse
  • One year of clinical experience as an RN in a perioperative or critical care setting OR three years as a Surgical Technician
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association
  • ACLS certification through the American Heart Association or willing to obtain within six months of hire
  • PALS certification through the American Heart Association (if applicable)
