Position Overview:

To align with the evolving electric vehicle landscape in the U.S. automotive sector, CATK is in search of skilled and committed Production Quality Engineers to manage the quality oversight and control of our manufacturing processes. This position entails executing quality assurance initiatives and fulfilling designated quality assurance responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee quality management and control within the production line processes.
  • Ensure all quality-related tasks are conducted efficiently and adhere to company standards and regulations.
  • Supervise and manage quality activities, including Statistical Process Control (SPC), First Article Inspection (FAI), Manufacturing Execution System (MES) inspections, First In, First Out (FIFO), error-proofing, rework, and equipment qualification.
  • Assist in various process audits, including process audits and Layered Process Audits (LPA).
  • Identify quality risks and initiate quality enhancement initiatives.
  • Manage alterations in the production process and ensure effective execution of process response strategies.
  • Provide training and support to elevate the overall competency of PQE technicians.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in production quality control or quality assurance, especially within the automotive manufacturing sector.
  • Strong understanding of the fundamental principles of battery operations.
  • Familiarity with the basic characteristics of communication faults and mechanical structure failures.
  • Expertise in product failure analysis techniques.
  • Proficient in utilizing quality analysis and improvement methodologies such as Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), 8D Problem Solving, Six Sigma, and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • Strong data analysis and processing skills.
  • Proficient in using office software, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain a full-time work schedule with regular in-person attendance.
  • Capability to interact professionally with individuals from diverse backgrounds and skill levels.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to navigate work sites, which may involve walking, standing, and climbing ladders or stairs.
  • Flexibility to bend, kneel, or crouch, particularly when inspecting installations or troubleshooting.
  • Capacity to lift and carry moderate weights, typically between 25-50 pounds.
  • Occasional lifting of heavier items may be necessary.
  • Ability to work in various environments, including offices, construction sites, and manufacturing facilities.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to different job sites, which may involve driving or other transportation methods.
